Shipping Policy

 

Barry’s Tea – Shipping Policy 

1.0 All Deliveries

1.1 We use An Post and DHL for all deliveries, with the choice between standard or express delivery offered where possible. In certain regions, we can only offer one delivery option at present.

1.2 We aim to process and dispatch your order within 2 working days (Monday to Friday excl. Bank Holidays). At certain times this may not be possible. Orders are processed chronologically, with preference given to Express Delivery orders during peak periods.

1.3 If you do not receive your order within 30 days after your order has been dispatched, please contact us directly by Telephone: +353 21 4915000 or e-Mail: info@barrystea.ie

1.4 We will replace lost or damaged orders free of charge.

1.5 If your order is returned to us due to several failed delivery attempts, non-collection, or an incorrect/inaccurate address, we cannot refund any shipping costs.

1.6 If you wish to cancel your order, you must contact us directly (Telephone: +353 21 4915000 or e-mail: info@barrystea.ie) by 10am the day following your order confirmation. After this, your order may have dispatched, and we will be unable to refund any shipping costs.

1.7 Certain remote areas may be subject to additional shipping charges. If these charges are not applied at the time of placing your order, this will be discussed with you prior to your order being dispatched.

1.8 Our third-party carriers may not be able to deliver to certain countries at times for reasons of politics, government, natural disaster or operational crises. In such circumstances your shipment will be returned to our mail centre and held till such a time that they are able to deliver to you.

1.9 When ordering goods from our site for delivery overseas you may be subject to additional import duties and taxes, which are levied once the package reaches the specified destination. Any additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you and we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be.

 

2.0 Standard Post (An Post & Standard Mail)

2.1 Orders shipped via Standard Post are NOT tracked and can take up to 21 days for delivery from the date of dispatch. Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, please allow up to 30 days for delivery.

2.2 We aim to process and dispatch your order within 2 working days (Monday to Friday excl. Bank Holidays). At certain times this may not be possible. You will receive a shipping confirmation once your order has been dispatched.

2.3 There is a 2kg weight limit for Standard Post deliveries. If your order exceeds this limit you will not be offered Standard Post at checkout.

2.4 Standard Post is not currently available in certain regions due to postal restrictions or customs constraints, including (but not exclusively) the USA.

 

3.0 Express Post (DHL Express)

3.1 Express Post deliveries are shipped via DHL. All Express Post deliveries are fully tracked and enable you to manage your delivery through DHL On-Demand Delivery.

3.3 We aim to process and dispatch your order within 2 working days (Monday to Friday excl. Bank Holidays). At certain times this may not be possible. Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a notification from DHL enabling you to track and manage your delivery.

3.4 If you do not receive your dispatch notification within 4 working days, please contact us directly by Telephone: +353 21 4915000 or e-mail: info@barrystea.ie

3.5 We ask that you provide both email and mobile contact details to ensure you receive this notification. Your details are required for the purpose of managing your delivery only, not for marketing reasons.

3.6 Delivery times can be found on Table 1 below.

3.7 We pass on to our customers only the exact courier cost to us, which is calculated based upon product weight and the destination country.

3.8 Within our fees there is a Fuel Surcharge. This surcharge can vary from month to month therefore shipping fees may change slightly month to month.

3.9 Due to the current Covid-19 situation, an Emergency Zone Surcharge is included within our fees. This surcharge can vary from month to month therefore shipping fees may change slightly month to month.

3.10 Express Post is not currently available in certain regions due to postal restrictions or customs constraints, including (but exclusively) Canada, Mexico and Brazil.

4.0  Shipping Changes to the UK

Unfortunately, we have temporarily suspended shipment of online orders into the UK due to new UK legislation commencing 01/01/2021. Under the new UK legislation, EU businesses must register for VAT & Customs with the UK government. Failure to comply will result in rejected parcels bound for UK consumers. 

We are in the process of registering, however there is a backlog in processing as a result of Brexit. An email notification will be circulated once our UK shipments can recommence.
